No plans for today - as in no plans with the group. We had our own plan of going to the city wall to bike around it. On top of the wall. So we rented a tandem bike - and off we went. The wall is 10-15 meters high and quite wide so you have plenty of space to bike and plenty of things to look at.
The rent of the bike was for two hours and after one hour we hadn't really made it half way around the wall so we biked a bit faster. Made it back to the rental place in just around 2 hours. Turned out the wall was almost 14 kilometres long, and with some photo stops it took time. But we had fun.
Another important task was to find H&M to buy some new clothes. Mikkel-size. Malene wasn't really going to buy anything but we ended up power-shopping some much needed items for the backpacks which are now really hard to close.
Häagen-Dazs was just on the way out so we had the most expensive ice cream in the world. $10 for two scoops. Then we headed back to the hotel left our shopping bags and just as we went outside again it started to rain. So we used the time for a quick Skype call to Malene's parents before trying our luck again.
We went around the night market for about an hour before we met any from our group. The Xi'an night market was a bigger and noisy'er version of any night market we have seen so far. And a whole street more or less devoted to barbecue meat sticks - and the smoke coming from all the places.
In the end we had dinner at a Korean restaurant where we ended up ordering the stuff you happen to come across once in a while - weird food. Not that it was bad but it just wasn't our taste. Bus back to hotel, getting ready for being back on the road tomorrow.
