Back on Hanson Island.

Getting used to waiting for the right tide and slack - also this morning. We headed out with the kayaks around 10 - a little bit late in our opinion. Today's course set for the opposite end of Hanson Island. A nice short trip. We kayaked around Swanson Island yesterday afternoon and it feels a little tired in the upper body this morning.

Another quiet morning with a few whales in the distance but we want them closer. Not least because our camera died last night so we can only do photos with the camera in our phones which means no zoom.

Before heading to Hanson Island we back tracked a bit a had a lunch stop on Mound Island on a small beach. Soaking in the sun and watching how the small fish followed the tide as it came in. At the same time keeping an eye on our kayak since tide here is between 3-4 meters - and it comes and goes fast.

At high tide we paddles back towards Hanson Island following the coast North. The camp site turned out to be in a small bay and once we had our kayaks unpacked we did lunch - and headed back on the water again. The sun was shining in the afternoon so there was probably no better place than to be out there. We tried our luck and Mikkel pulled a couple of crab pods out of the water - but no dinner in there :-) A no wildlife except for a seal that was a bit curious - and then too afraid to get close to our kayak,

We had a lazy afternoon on the rocks enjoying the sun and before dinner, Malene decided it was time for a swim, so we had a cold a refreshing swim.

One last campfire before going to bed. Tomorrow the whales better be there - and close to us.
