Steen heading home - and a short trip to Victoria

Mikkel and Steen left for the harbour this morning. Steen was leaving for Denmark and the easiest way to go to Vancouver Airport was by float plane. Not being able to resist the possibility to try a short trip with a float plane, Mikkel had also booked the flight to YVR - and back to Nanaimo.

Bright sunny day it was a super experience, and also nice to make sure that Steen was dropped off almost at the doorstep to the terminal.

When Mikkel came back from the flight we took the car and headed for Victoria, the main city at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. There was a lot more happening here than in Nanaimo. We hung out in Beacon hill park to relax a bit, then walked the city along the sea following the David Foster Harbour Pathway, had some nice sushi and ice cream next to the floating houses at Fisherman's Wharf before driving back to our place in Nanaimo.

And then it was once again time to pack our stuff. The backpacks seem to be getting smaller and smaller. We are heading North to Port Mcneill tomorrow.
