Bow lake and glacier falls - and crazy Lake Louise

This morning Mark joined us. He was in Banff for the weekend and wanted to do some hiking with us. So he picked us up at the hostel, and then we drove to the trail head at Bow Lake and hiked to the falls. About 5 km's of nice walking before we made it to the falls.

So impressive to stand at the bottom of the falls and see the water dropping many meters from the foot of the glacier.
We took our time, headed back towards the lake and found a nice spot for lunch and then back to the parking lot.

Since it was early in the afternoon we had time for another hike so we headed for -Lake Louise. Being one of the "must see" sights around the Banff area we decided to do the 30 minutes drive. And it was a short and easy hike.

Turned out everybody else had got the same idea. It was so crowded we couldn't even get of the highway since the queue to the parking lot extended all the way out in the off ramp.
We headed back to the hostel and hiked 9 km up Mosquito creek. A bit difficult to find the trail but in the end we made it all the way up to the camp site and back.

Mark joined us for dinner - at the camp fire. And we agreed to be at Moraine Lake tomorrow morning at 8 am - before the crowds. And then do Lake Louise afterwards.
