We left Qualicum beach looking for breakfast. First, though, we both managed to forget that Malene had left her kayak shoes (black) to dry on the roof of the car (also black). New game invented - shoe-hunting. We found them. They're OK.
We had breakfast at a local bakery and headed for - well, more mini golf. This time Paradise Mini golf in Parksville.
Bigger and even more fake than the previous mini golf place. Including dyeing the water in the fountains blue. The 2x18 holes ended in a tie. World peace secured. We had a short stop in Nanaimo to purchase a new camera - samesame - and then headed for the long drive to Tofino.
We shopped food and had late lunch at a lake that happened to be the home of Mars Water Bombers. Giant float planes that are used to fight wild fires. They happened to have one of them taking off when we had lunch. Mighty big.
Back on the road for a late arrival in Tofino, we got our room, headed down to the docks for a beautiful sunset and then had some dinner. Ready to do ab-so-lu-te-ly nothing tomorrow. At least most of the day.
