Today was for travelling. Mostly by plane for hours and hours. Left UB on time at 00:55 for a short flight to Seoul. Touch down in Incheon at around 4 in the morning, airport more or less dead, rain pouring down outside. Found a place to sleep for a while and then we decided to book a room for 6 hours to get some real sleep. Good decision. So we had our own little room with shower and toilet. No windows but who needs them when the main purpose is to sleep.
At 12 we made it out in the real world again, left our belonging in the airport, went through immigration and boarded the high speed train for Seoul Central station. Nice ride and a possibility to look at the city. Still raining a bit but not too much.
We spent around 2 hours in the city centre just walking a bit around. Not aiming for landmarks, temples or any other things. We just were there. The airport has excellent guided trips for free but they all included temples or other landmarks that we've had enough of for a while.
Back to the airport, some food for dinner before boarding the plane for our flight to Vancouver. Not the best seats but we managed to get some sleep before arriving in Vancouver at 13:00. Then we went through immigrations, got our bags, and to our big surprise - David was there to pick us up. Probably the happiest arrival we've had in a while.
We went to his IT-dude who agreed to fix the broken screen on the laptop, then over to David's local place for some lunch, and then we got dropped of at our hostel around 18:30. This also meant that we managed to check in to our dorm 5 minutes before we left Korea. Crossing the dateline obviously has some positive side effects.
We walked to the nearest super market, shopped a bit of food for breakfast, back to the hostel - and then we slept. Nice and quiet dorm.
