Today we headed east towards the next wild camp close to Darkhan, In the afternoon we managed to squeeze in a visit to the Amarbayasgalant Khiid monastery - in the middle of no where. 40 km of dirt road and then it suddenly was there. Only a few other visitors except for us and only one or two monks.
We spent around two hours before heading back on the bumpy and dusty road. Rain has a certain advantage - no dust. But today was hot and dry and thus enabling us and the truck to do the detour. Not the most impressive monastery but it was genuine.
The wild camp tonight was on a hillside next to the highway. Very quiet, great weather and only us. In the distance we could see the cars heading to and from UB. Soon we'll be there marking the end to this part of our journey. It feels unreal to suddenly be at the end but on the other hand it also marks a new beginning of travelling on our own.
Enjoying a beautiful red moon setting early in the evening and then a camp fire.
