Woke up to a beautiful morning. Considered going for a swim in the river but it seemed to be so far away. Decided to sleep in - the only morning on this trip where we have actually been able to enjoy a long morning in the tent and plenty of time for breakfast. All other morning have either included leaving early for a drive or for some sightseeing.
Not today. Just enjoying the morning and catching up on what happened last night, why the truck was now dry in terms of alcohol and where some people ended up sleeping. Turns out it is possible to sleep four in an A-frame tent.
Slowly packed up the camp and the truck headed back to UB to our hotel - same hotel as three weeks ago. Parked the truck and for the first time in weeks - months - we had to empty all our stuff from it because this was it - no more back locker or room for our belongings inside the truck.
So our room at the hotel looked like it does very often - gypsy family moving in. Since we were leaving UB tomorrow night this was also the time to do laundry and try to get the laptop fixed. Not fun to travel with a broken laptop.
Laundry was the easy part. A few blocks away and then a nice lady took care of our bags. Then we headed for a local cafe and enjoyed a good lunch before trying to find a place to fix the laptop. After running around for two hours we realised that it was not going to happen in UB. Lots of good places but none had the right spare part.
Mikkel, Carl and Elliot had more luck with their mission - to get a hair cut at "Destroy beauty and hair". So big a success that Malene decided to book an appointment for the day after and Mikkel booked for a pedicure. Those tired feet need some extra special care once in a while.
In the evening we went out for the farewell dinner - at a place doing Mongolian BBQ - what else. Hugs and goodbyes to those who where leaving during the night or early in the morning. And then back to the hotel for a nice sleep in a real bed.
