The weather was good this morning. And we wanted to go hiking. Malene had done all the research on hiking options, so she suggested a hike at Smith Rock which was close to Redmond.
We arrived to find the parking lot packed - hiking seems to be the activity when there is a long weekend. Managed to squeeze the car in quite close to the trail head and then we hiked for almost three hours around the rock and over the top of it.
Lots of people on the trails - and even more climbing the many places where it is possible. Which is almost everywhere. Even some places with slack lines.
We had a short stop in Redmond and then decided to head for dinner in Bend where we had some really good food at Drake. Then headed for the Mill District to locate Red Robin and have Mudpie before leaving the US. More or less last chance this time.
We found it and I guess the picture says it all. Then we headed back to our house. Packing for our 2 days of flying tomorrow.
