Sunset and white wine at the Great Wall of China

The sight for today was the incredible Zhangye Danxia Rainbow Mountains. Fantastic colored mountains.

Only unfortunate thing was that it was more looking at nature than being in the nature. We couldn't just walk around but had to drive around with a shuttle bus.

We were told there were 4 stops where we could get off  and we had 20 minutes each place and then we had to continue with the same bus. The first stop had 5 viewing points so it was a bit rushed with only 20 minutes. After second stop we realized that none of the Chinese stuck to the same bus. Had we known this we could have enjoyed the first stop a bit more. Every stop was unique and impressive and we got a bit exercise as well climbing a lot of stairs to one of the view points.

We also got to camp next to another part of the Great Wall of China this night. There was a few hours of driving to the camp site but we got there just in time for sunset. Of course this was the time to enjoy our cold white wine which we bought some time ago in Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.

After a warm and very delicious dinner we made a camp fire and roasted marshmallows.
