Lanzhou - one of the most polluted cities in China

We went on a beautiful morning walk up the hill in Xian, half way around one of their prayer routes. We didn't have time to do the whole round trip so unfortunately we had to go the wrong way - which here is the counter clockwise - for the first half of the trip. Going down to the town again we walked in the right direction. It was 6 o'clock in the morning and already a lot of people were out to walk their prayer round.

We arrived in Lanzhou in the afternoon. Lanzhou is one of the most polluted cities in China but luckly today wasn't too bad. We had lunch and a coffee and decided to relax in the afternoon. The city doesn't offer too many exciting things so we didn't feel we were missing out on anything. It's more a place to stop to break up a long driving day rather than a place to do something.

I the evening we went to a great night market with some of the others and tried a lot off delicious food.
