Only a few hours until departure. So many "last minute" practical things to take care of. Monday morning is going to be really, really busy.

So this evening it was a nice break to have the neighbours dropping by. They made off with most of the content of our fridge and freezer. And other foodstuff from the kitchen

Still a lot of practical things to look after. 

Last visa - done!

Very important mail received today. From Germany. Berlin. Turkmenistan embassy. Two passports included. Two visas. Check list complete - for visas.

Also got the last immunisations. Done.

There is still a long list of to-dos for the coming days. Planned departure still next Monday.

Malene had the last day at work today, I'll stop Friday. Great experiences ahead - fingers crossed. 

More travel stuff

It's getting closer. Had a lot of friends over for dinner and drinks this weekend. Nice to see each and every one of them and have time to chat about our plans for the trip.

Called the Turkmenistan embassy in Berlin this week. They expected the visa to be ready Friday. Maybe. And then a lot of nagging about them having to mail our passports back to Denmark. "Why didn't we just come and pick them up?". "Because we live in another country!".

Fingers still very much crossed for our passports to make it back home in some kind of magic way. It's getting a little too close for comfort.

In other news - more travel stuff is accumulating at home. A good sign that departure is getting closer.

One more visa for the collection. Last one for Turkmenistan to be prepared and mailed to Berlin tonight....
