There was no hurry this morning. We had breakfast, did spend some time reading mails, news, blogs and other internet stuff. Nice when you only share an internet connection with one other guest. The wind picked up a bit around lunch and the waves grew bigger. We decided to go for a walk - on the beach. Two options - left or right, we chose a left turn and then walking dead straight following the beach for around 1½ hours until we got to the small village of Organos. There wasn't much to see on the way except for a long row of empty small hotels and bungalows with no guests. On the beach itselft there was the occasional dead sea lion in various state of decays - and smells. And garbage. When we got closer to Organos the construction seemed less finished and more buildings looked like "under construction".
There wasn't many places on the beach that seemed open but Bambu restaurant served great sea food for us and we sat there and enjoyed the birds, the few people on the beach and finally being in a sunny and warm place. What we also wanted experience in Peru. We had a huge meal so no need to shop for dinner but we headed to the centre of the village for some shops - rum, coke, white wine and a few other necessities. We've earned a few drinks after many weeks of hiking and cold drinks seem to go hand in hand with bungalows on the beach. Don't they? We think so. There was still time until the sunset so we decided to walk home, this time trying the road but we found a dead end and had to short cut to the beach. We got home for the most wonderful sun set in a long time, the sun dropping fast into the ocean and the overhead clouds changing colour every 10 seconds. A beautiful show until it got dark.
Not much to do at our common area except to hang out with the other guy staying there - David. Tomorrow were going to head the other direction on the beach towards Mancora.

Great information. Glad I found your site. Do you recommend staying at this beach or do you prefer other beaches that you came across in Peru?

Hi. Glad you like the blog. We didn't really go for beaches in Peru except this one. The rest of the time was spent in the mountains more or less, but the reason for staying at Mancora was that we needed time off from travelling and this place was perfect when we were there.
SletCheers
