Starting to wonder if we should stay in Sucre on a more permanent basis. What's not to like about this city? We've started to get a habit of sleeping a bit late, just making it for breakfast, then relaxing in the morning and perhaps having an afternoon walk and some coffee. Or whatever we feel like. Much needed after three busy weeks with Jes having seen and experienced so many fantastic places and sights with him.
We agreed to meet after Malene's last Spanish class and find the bus terminal and some tickets. We are leaving tomorrow after all and we are trying to squeeze in Potosi as a day stop. Mikkel wants to visit the mine, and given the bus to La Paz is not until the late evening it's doable.
Got the bus tickets, and headed back to town where Malene had visited
Sucre Museum in the morning as part of her Spanish lessons. There was a nice exhibit about different native masks from around Bolivia. Once in a while it was difficult not to think about the masks we've seen in China and wonder just how they came up with the same kind of masks and decorations. Maybe they paid a visit to each other across the Pacific once in a while. Who knows. The masks looked really impressive.
The afternoon turned practical. Leaving in the morning with the 7 AM bus means packing in the evening - and how come newly washed clothes seem to take up 50% more space in the back pack than when it was dirty? Maybe the back pack has shrunk!
