Another day free day in Kashgar and another city walk.
It's handy with a shoe repair man
in the street when you have a broken leather sandal like Neill had. So this was the first stop for the day. Next stop was the supermarket where we had more good laughs about interesting names for some of the products. Carl and Paul also got
a haircut and while the rest of us waited, the guys at the hair salon got out chairs for us to sit
outside. This meant a great photo opportunity for the guys in salon. They took heaps of pictures of us sitting there and we'll
probably show in their next add.
We spent some more time looking for funny signs and laughing at them, and we went back to old town to see more of it.
After dinner the two of us went to
the centre again to find the night market with clothes and food. Mikkel has already ripped two pairs of pants/shorts but hasn't succeeded in finding a new pair yet so we were going to look for that.
On the way to the night
market we went to see the mosque which was a bit different from the
other mosques we have seen since it was an open air mosque.
We didn't find any pants or shorts for Mikkel and we definitely should
have waited with eating because some of the food looked really
delicious. Some of the food looked really weird to – compared to
what we normally eat - we're not quite ready for boiled sheep head
WITH teeth yet. But the watermelon was yummy.
