Another day with more flights to Thailand - and we made it to Krabi in one go (TPE-BKK-KBV)

We arrived in Taipei airport as scheduled just after 5 AM not really having an idea or feeling about time. Maybe it is possible to be so jet lagged that you actually don't feel jet lagged. Feeling a bit numb after a nice but extremely long 14 hour nonstop flight is maybe the correct way to describe it. We left the plane and headed out to the food court and had coffee and a bit to eat for breakfast not being in a hurry this morning. Our next flight not leaving until 9 AM meant time to relax and regain ground contact and update Facebook and read some mails and stay busy.

Taipei airport is really nice, we found a place to sit and recharge the phones and get some coffee and breakfast. We took off from Taipei for our next three and a half our flight to Bangkok on time on a grey morning. Having cleared the runway we also cleared the morning mist and could look down on the countryside which was really pretty from above.

We touched down in Bangkok on time, and hurried out the plane hoping to make it through immigration for our last flight to Krabi. We had less than an hour until check in would close and the queue for immigration turned out to be too big to make it in time. So we bought tickets - real paper tickets - at the Thai Airways office in the airport, checked our luggage in and waited in the domestic airport for our 5 PM flight. We left Bangkok airport on time and touched down in Krabi just 90 minutes later having done 5 out of 5 flights in a row and our luggage even made it here with us. How good is that!

Coming in with the late flight also meant that the scheduled buses to Koh Lanta would no longer be running but we got a bus to Krabi town from the airport and were told it wouldn't be a problem to go there. It turned out that it was doable but at a price - 4000 Thai Bath. Way to expensive, so the lady who were offering tickets lowered the price to 3500 or we could stay at her place for the night for 800 Bath. We left and headed down the road and had a nice room for 400 Bath and the nice lady there also booked us for the 7 AM bus to Koh Lanta at a much more reasonable price of 300 Bath per person. We had a shower - much needed and feel asleep instantly. We are in Thailand very close to our first stop in Koh Lanta and our friends Katrine and Jeppe. We're looking forward to seeing them tomorrow.
