Leon city sightseeing

Feeling a bit tired from transport and ziplining action yesterday we decided to hang out a bit. After having a slightly slow morning  we headed out to town and found the French bakery in town - Pan y Paz. We ordered breakfast and had wonderful bread - like break with wholegrain and real crust. And good coffee and croissants on the side.

Being the second largest city in Nicaragua Leon feels surprisingly small and easy to walk around. There are lots of churches to visit and a few other landmarks. We walked a bit around in the morning and headed back to relax at the hostel. In the afternoon we headed out again to take a look at the local market and shops selling everything from bags to saddles.

We also visited a couple of churches in the afternoon and on the way back to the hostel we decided to head back to the bakery and shop food for our dinner. They had bread, cheese and sausage, we bought some veggies on the market and Matilde decided she needed a strawberry cake for dessert. For the first time in a long time we did our own dinner, including sharing a whole pineapple.
